Our Mission
Established in 2001, Yeshiva Bonim Lamokom has since been dedicated to fulfill the vision of providing a quality dual curricular program for Jewish boys with Down syndrome and other developmental delays.
Imparting Jewish Values
We place special emphasis on allowing our students to become active and fully accepted members of Klal Yisroel.
Our students are given the opportunity to pray together and don tefillin daily, fundamental practices of Judaism that they were denied in public school settings.
We strive to bridge the gap in our students knowledge of Jewish subjects our students revel in learning about Jewish traditions and holidays. Jewish laws, values, and ethics also play key roles in our

students education.
Allowing Opportunities for Development
The yeshiva provides necessary therapies, which are administered to our students by fully licensed therapists who are wholly dedicated to the development of their charges.
We maintain a well-rounded curriculum that includes math, spelling, writing and all other subjects using specialized techniques to implement the skills thoroughly.
Another focus of our program is the attainment of functional skills that include activities of daily living, job training, and socialization. Our vocational program maximizes each students mastery of abilities on his level that will enable him to hold a responsible job.
Staffing
The staff at Bonim Lamokom is comprised of highly qualified teachers who are trained in special education. Our staff members are guided by creativity, compassion and motivation as they strive to make a world of difference in the lives of our children and their families.
Keeping Pace with Technology
We have been fortunate to be the recipients of a state-of-the-art computer lab donated graciously to our yeshiva by the Gruss Foundation. The computer lab includes four top-of-the-line computers equipped with the Waterford Early reading, math and science programs, with each student progressing at his own level during individual sessions on the computer.
Aside for the academic advantages of the program, usage of the computer allows our students to develop important life skills that will help them function more effectively in society.
